The final 'do and a very Happy 2013!

Well 31 hairstyles...or probably closer to 60 in total and we have hit the last of 2012! So what better way to celebrate our last hairstyles than back in the UK - the best of British hairstyles with our wonderful Girls Aloud - chezza and nimble kimble. 

Everyone's generosity has been truly astounding over the last month and we could not be more grateful! Docember has unbelievably raised over £2000 for Macmillan! It really has been overwhelming. 

So now to 2013... The Docember family want to wish you every happiness, prosperity and success in 2013. We hope you have enjoyed our ridiculousness over the last month and we have made you smile at least a couple of times.

Toasting Scandinavia

Second to last day of Docember and we are toasting the scandinavian style - and you will see that we now have two brunet docembergirls.

Grecian Goddesses

Moving on with our International themes, we have gone a bit Grecian today. From the likes of Helen of Troy through to all the Greek Goddesses represented in Mythology all have had wonderful hairstyles represented over the time.

Jo went for a beautiful Helen of Troy, the last time of Docember you will see her long blonde locks, you will be in for a treat tomorrow!

I chose a more modern approach to incorporate the Grecian style and chose some delicate plaits.

Only two more hairstyles of Docember 2012, tomorrow its off to Scandinavia!

The American Dream

During Docember we have enjoyed celebrating much of the glamour, style and craziness of US women. From Jacki K to Madonna, Briters to Gaga and the Supremes to Zooey D and Marilyn to Audrey. So who do we chose to celebrate on America Docember day?....

Oh yes...classic. Paris, Nicole and the Simple life. 

We used to love this crazy duo when we were kids and although not quite as bonkers, we did spend many a summer singing sa sa san, sa sa san san and getting up to all kinds of mischief!

Tomorrow we are continuing our journey to Ancient Greece.

Memoirs of a geisha

We decided to finish Docember with a number of international hair themes. So today we are heading East and going geisha.

We have always loved this look and have loved geisha stories - from Chiyo in memoirs to Mulan, the Disney princess who saved China!

Just Us

Boxing day, and for today's 'do we decided that after 25 days of hair styles of all shapes and sizes, that we would go au natural and just be ourselves!

It was definitely needed after the fantastic Christmas day we had yesterday and so today after doing our hair in a natural way, we wrapped up and made our way down for an age old tradition of watching the raft race in Matlock!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas with Family and loved ones, may the merriment continue over the rest of the holiday season.

A bit of what we like

We decided that christmas eve had to be celebrated with a bit of something we like. Susie went for the coolest girl of the moment Zooey Deschanel and I went for the queen of Motown, Diana Ross.

For our evening carol service Susie looked divine, whereas I looked absolutely ridiculous. Having said that I have ALWAYS wanted to rock an afro so if not Docember christmas eve...when?!

Guilty Pleasures

How could we not embrace the theme of guilty pleasures without imitating the hair style of one of the icons of the last decade...

Yes that would be the one and only Britney Spears. From the stunning golden locks to the wigs to the baldy stage, we have loved her pop and her hairstyles over the years (ok so we were clearly less enamored by the baldy stage and hope not to embrace that through docember!)

Today we have spent a beautifully sunny day as all three Docembergirls together enjoying cream teas at Chatsworth House. We were hoping for some snow before christmas eve, but we are settling for an evening watching the snowman.

A Drew Day

It's the first proper day of the holidays today, and we decided that we wanted to showcase some of the many hairstyles of one of our all time favourite ladies the one and only Drew Barrymore.

There have been many phases of Drew's style from her glamourous red carpet looks to her rock chick rebellious style and all the fabulous women she has portrayed through the big screen, its fair to say we love Drew!

I decided to go for Drew's glam hippy style, disheveled with some cute plaits, perfect for the first day of the holidays!

Jo went for Drew in one of our all time favourite films, the stunning Ever After, the most wonderful Cinderella story. She looks purely angelic getting in the Christmas spirit!

Today has been a great day of all 3 of the Docember Girls hanging out together, a great start to the festivities!

This last week we said a very fond farewell to gossip girl (after finally discovering that gossip girl was actually a boy...shock).

Shaken not stirred

I don't know about you, but we watched the latest Bond and LOVED it! I mean seriously what is not to love....the glamour, the class, the deliciousness that is James and of course the love affair with London. 

Now it would have been impossible to go through Docember without embracing the true heros of Bond...the Bond girls! 

Of all the wonderful ladies we chose a bit of Vespa and pussy galore. 

Well given its Christmas we better head off to the casino to enjoy our martini's now...shaken not stirred of course 007.

As we have now celebrated all things Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, we couldn't leave out our newest favourite 'not quite aimed at adults fiction' the Hunger Games.

So today we went for the wonderful hair stylish heroine Katniss Everdeen!

Who doesn't love a good rebellion with an amazing wardrobe and hair....may the odds be ever in your favour! 

I am unbelievably grateful that we only have two more days of hairstyles in office! And we have two crackers for you!

Tarantino

So today we have honoured one of our all time favourite directors, Mr Quentin Tarantino.

We are both big fans of his films and so have picked characters from the awesome Kill Bill and the classic Pulp Fiction. Amazing!

It's a Grease Lightening

 Day 16 and we are still doing favourite fiction, today is Grease day! 

The first time me and Jo saw Grease we just fell in love with it, we do love a good musical to sing a long to!!

Jo has made a fantastic tribute to Danny and I went for a demure Sandy.

The money is still coming in strong for Macmillan, Thanks so much for all the fantastic support we have been getting, everyone has been so positive about Docember, some thinking we are slightly mad, but nothing is new there!

Disney Docemberday

We love Disney and especially the wonderful Disney heroines. From Mulan saving China, to Meg giving up her life for Hercules, to Belle falling for a beast we LOVE Disney princesses. 

However give us the opportunity to 'do' Disney princesses and what did we both choose.... 

Yes, that would be Alice in Wonderland and Minnie Mouse! 

Clearly we would never miss a Saturday evening out to spread the Docember word!
